Sachin and Rekha cast their votes in Vice-Presidential election

Indian batsman and Rajya Sabha member Sachin Tendulkar has exercised his franchise in the Vice-Presidential election today. The batting maestro was escorted to the Parliament House by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla where he casted his vote. This is the first Rajya Sabha vote for Sachin Tendulkar after he was nominated to the upper house.

Speaking to the reporters later, Sachin Tendulkar said that he would attend the session tomorrow in the Parliament. The Monsoon session of the Parliament begins tomorrow. Sachin said that he would attend the session, but is not sure if he would stay the entire session.

Another nominated Rajya Sabha member Rekha also casted her vote in the Vice-Presidential election. She also would attend the session tomorrow. Both Sachin and Rekha were nominated to the Rajya Sabha in May.
