  • Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar met External Affairs Minister SM Krishna and requested him to ask Chief Minister to change his order on sharing Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu. It is known that the PM has asked Karnataka to share 9,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu following Cauvery River Authority's order.
  • The Independent directors of DLF have sought a probe into the allegations of controversial transactions between Robert Vadra and DLF. The shares of DLF slumped to 229.5 in the morning on Monday.
  • The Indian Commercial Pilots Association writes to Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh seeking his intervention in resolving their grievances which include payment of due salaries and allowances.

  • Indian Oil has reduced the Petrol price by 56 paise per litre effective midnight tonight. The decision was taken due to the appreciation in rupee value against the US dollar. The petrol would cost Rs. 67.90 per litre in Delhi as against 68.46 per litre presently. Petrol in Mumbai will be cut by 71 paise and 70 paise in Kolkata. The Bharat Petroleum Corp and Hindustan Petroleum Corp are also expected to reduce the prices.
