  • Vinod Singh, minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation in Uttar Pradesh, has resigned on Friday after allegations of abduction Chief Medical Officer of the Goonda district. The minister was facing allegations of abducting the CMO SP Singh pressuring him to hire his candidates as doctors for the National Rural Health Mission scheme.
  • Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) member Dharamvir Goyak made a controversial remark saying 90% of rape cases in Haryana are consensual.
