Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar calls Raj Thackeray deranged

September 2, 2012 - New Delhi

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar referred Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray as a deranged person. Speaking to reporters at the Janata Dal (United) office, Nitish Kumar criticized Raj Thackeray saying that he would do anything for publicity.

He also criticized the Congress governments in Maharashtra and at the Centre for allowing Raj Thackeray to get away with such remarks. "Biharis in Maharashtra should not worry, as it is entirely the responsibility of the Congress regimes in Maharashtra and at the Centre to provide them full security," Nitish added.

Raj Thackeray has threatened to brand Biharis as infiltrators last week. His remarks were severely criticized by politicians cutting political lines. The Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil said that they would examine the recorded speech and would take appropriate action.
