Ammonium Nitrate used in blasts at Pune

The preliminary report of the Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) on the Pune bomb blasts indicate that ammonium nitrate was used in the blasts. Black sticky substance was also found at the scene. Samples of other substances found at the scene were also collected for research. The police said that seven improvised explosive devices were used. The Pune police also collected CCTV footage from the shops nearby the bomb blast sites.

Police who considered Dayanand Patil a suspect in the case was a local tailor. However, Intelligence sources say that Patil is no longer a suspect, but the police are interrogating him. Patil had minor injuries and was admitted in the Sassoon Hospital.

High alert has been issued at all cities across the country. A bomb disposal squad immediately reached the Jantar Mantar where Team Anna is staging indefinite hunger strike.
