Accepting this award, Mr. Nayak said, “I’m deeply humbled by this recognition and thank the ELCINA-EFY Award Comiittee for bestowing this honour on me. Having been closely associated with the telecom industry for the past decade, I see this award as more than just a personal recognition. Today, Tejas is recognized globally for its excellence in technological innovation and has seen significant customer success.”

"India has the key ingredients of large talent pool and a huge domestic market- which are necessary to build successful global Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem, consisting of product companies, component manufactures and EMS companies. Electronics and telecom manufacturing can play a key role in the coming years, in terms of contribution to our GDP, creating several hundred thousand jobs and reducing our dependence on imports. We are also encouraged to see the government's intent to create supportive policies to stimulate this eco-system," commented Mr. Nayak.

Sanjay's nomination as the ‘Electronics Man of the Year 2010-11’ was a unanimous decision of the eminent panel of judges of ELCINA-EFY Awards. The panel, which included senior Industry leaders and entrepreneurs, commented, "In spite of his great achievements and stature, Sanjay remains an affable, accessible and ever supportive industry friend to all of us. He contributes regularly by providing his insights for the good of industry and for guiding all stakeholders including the government to establish a supportive eco-system. The Award Committee was deeply impressed with the pioneering work done by Mr. Sanjay Nayak, his leadership qualities and ability to build high-performing teams to achieve ambitious targets. Therefore, the Award Committee found him an ideal choice to be ELCINA-EFY's Electronics Man of the Year. "
