Advani leaves from Delhi for second round of nationwide anti-graft campaign

October 27, 2011 - New Delhi

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani today left New Delhi for the second round of the nationwide anti-graft road show.

Advani is scheduled to resume his campaign from Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

Interacting with mediapersons outside his residence, Advani cheered about the public support that his campaign has received.

"I am especially happy about the fact that my ongoing sixth rally has received great public support as compared to the previous five tours," said Advani.

He further hoped that after the completion of his campaign against corruption and black money, the country would get a new direction.

"I hope that when I'll return to Delhi on November 20, after completing my rally, then surely the country will be in a position of starting a new chapter," Advani said.

Advani kicked off his nationwide tour from Sitab Diara village in Bihar on October 11, that would cover 23 states and four Union Territories, which will see him traverse over 7,600 kilometres.
