Praj Announces Winners of Maha-Intrapreneur Award 2010

Praj Industries, globally leading Biofuels, Brewery, Process Equipment and Water & Wastewater Treatment Solutions Company, announced the winners of the ‘Maha-Intrapreneur Awards 2010’, the first of its kind in India. Out of a batch of highly qualified and motivated contestants, 6 most promising ‘Intrapreneurs’ have been selected by a distinguished jury1 panel.

The Maha-Intrapreneur awards aim at identifying and rewarding professionals who display ‘Intrapreneural’2 skills and qualities in their actions and results in their respective organizations. The awards have been instituted by Praj in association with Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune, who are the knowledge partners in this initiative.

The awards will be presented in a gala award function on December 18th, 2010 at the hands of Chief Guest Arun Nanda, Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in the presence of Kishor Chaukar, Managing Director, Tata Industries Limited.

Lifetime Achievement Award: The Maha-Intrapreneur Life Time Achievement Award of 2010 will be conferred upon Dr. Vijay Bhatkar who is one of the internationally acclaimed scientist and IT leader of India.

This award is in recognition of his innovative and professional approach in bringing IT to the doorsteps of masses through wide-ranging path-breaking initiatives. Apart from being an Architect of PARAM Supercomputer, his role as an Institute Builder of several national level organizations such as C-DAC, ER&DC, ETH Research Lab and now Multiversity is admirable.

Praj would like to recognize his contribution in the field of supercomputing, artificial intelligence, science and philosophy. We also appreciate his continued contribution in various academic and social activities on different forums and Institutes till date through this Award.

Each Awardee in Category A will be presented a trophy of “Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Award”, “Certificate of Appreciation” and Fellowship of maximum of Rs. 100,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) to attend Executive Development Programme from any reputed institute in India.

Each Awardee in Category B will be presented a trophy of “Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Award”, “Certificate of Appreciation” and Rs. 100,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) will be awarded to the awardees organization.
