Laden emerges again, warns Obama of more attacks like 9/11

Worlds most wanted terrorist, Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, while claiming the responsibility for the failed plot to attack on a US airliner on December 25, has warned US of more attacks similar to 9/11.

New Delhi, Jan.24 : World's most wanted terrorist, Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, while claiming the responsibility for the failed plot to attack on a US airliner on December 25, has warned US of more attacks similar to 9/11.

In his latest audio-tape, which was obtained by Al-Jazeera television channel, Laden warned US President Barack Obama of more attacks on the lines of September 11, 2001, unless Washington finds a solution to the Palestinian crisis.

"The message I want to convey to you through the plane of the hero Omar Farouk (Abdulmutallab), reaffirms a previous message that the heroes of 9/11 conveyed to you. America will never dream of living in peace unless we live it in Palestine," Laden said.

"It is unfair that you enjoy a safe life while our brothers in Gaza suffer greatly. Therefore, with God's will, our attacks on you will continue as long as you continue to support Israel," Laden said in his message.

"If it was possible to carry our messages to you by words we wouldn't have carried them to you by planes," he added in his message, which is believed to have been recorded last month.

It may be noted that Abdulmutallab, who is currently in US custody, tried to ignite explosives embedded in his undergarments inside a Northwest Airlines Flight, shortly before it landed at the Detroit airport on December 25.

Abdulmutallab, however, was over powered by passengers on board and was handed over to the security officials.

During interrogation, he had admitted his links with Al-Qaeda and said he obtained the explosives in Yemen.
