October 26, 2010 - Midnapore

Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy today blamed Communist Party of India (Marxist) cadres for the death of two civil liberty activists recently.

Roy visited the homes of People's Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) members Pradeep Mahato and Biswanath Mahato, who were killed on October 22. Both the victims were shot dead at their homes in Nandalalpur village in Midnapore District.

"They raised their voices against the CPI-M (Communist Party of India- Marxist) men that's why they have been killed by the CPI-M men with the support of the joint action force and they have been killed by the CPI-M men in the presence of the joint action force. By withdrawing the joint action force, the peace and development should be allowed to come to the jungle area of West Midnapore District," said Roy.
