Car designer Dilip Chhabria has revolutionised the automobile market by redesigning the cheapest car in the world, Nano, manufactured by Tata Motors.
Pune, Nov 24: Car designer Dilip Chhabria has revolutionised the automobile market by redesigning the cheapest car in the world, Nano, manufactured by Tata Motors.
Earlier in September, Chhabria's DC Design and Jagdish Khattar-owned Carnation Auto, a multi-brand automobile solutions hub, had entered into a partnership, under which they would provide customized solutions to Nano owners in the country.
And, for an additional Rs. 80,000, Chhabria has come up with a stylish version of the Nano and named his creation as 'Hot Nano'.
"Well, this is an investment that we have made in tooling. So, it is going to be producing relatively large numbers. We plan to do 50 or 100 per month once the production is stabilized from January and this is going to be sold to the Carnation set up across India," Chhabria said.
"Carnation, as you are aware is a multi brand sales and service network and so, a customer can aspire and can get these Nano filled out in any of the cities that carnation operates. I believe they are going to be operational in about 40 cities by March," he added.
According to Chhabria, the new looking 'Hot Nano' is designed keeping in mind the majority of the owners of the cheapest car, which is the youth.
He mentioned that the new Hot Nano is stylish in tune with the modern trends and it would be a hit among the youngsters.
"Well, Hot Nano is a customised based package that a customer can aspire, it is reasonably priced and it makes the Nano look unique and different, so that's the Hot Nano," Chhabria added.
By supplementing with grills, wide tyres, bumper-side panels and air intake filters, Chhabria has lent a sporty look to Nano, the people's car.
