Doctor R C Deka, dean of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has been appointed the institutes director for the next five years.
New Delhi, Mar 10 : Doctor R C Deka, dean of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has been appointed the institute's director for the next five years.
Deka is also the head of the ENT (Ear, Nasal, Throat) Department.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday cleared the name of Deka for the post, which was lying vacant after the retirement of renowned cardiologist P. Venugopal in early July.
The official orders likely to be sent to AIIMS by this evening.
ANI
