Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and Dr. S Y Quraishi on Wednesday had a meeting with the Election observers in Bangalore.

Bangalore, May 7 : Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and Dr. S Y Quraishi on Wednesday had a meeting with the Election observers in Bangalore.

They also called on the DCs and police officials for the second phase of election.

Later the Chief Election Commissioner told the media, that Central officials will be deputed as micro observers in the sensitive polling booths in addition to the general observers.

The Election Commission office sources said that the entire commission is reviewing the preparations for the second phase of election for which the Deputy Election Commissioners had submitted their report earlier.

The entire Commission is scheduled to proceed to Mangalore this evening or tomorrow morning.

Today is the penultimate day for campaigning of the first phase. Most of the leaders are campaigning in Bangalore or in the Mysore region today.
