Two Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft left for cyclone-ravaged Myanmar on Wednesday, carrying about eight tons of relief material.

New Delhi, May 7 : Two Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft left for cyclone-ravaged Myanmar on Wednesday, carrying about eight tons of relief material.

Out of these two aircraft, one AN-32 belonging to the Para Training School, Agra is carrying four tons of tentage material from Kanpur to Yangoon. Wing Commander H Goswami would the Captain of this mission.

The other AN-32 aircraft is carrying approximately four tons of medicines and tents. Wing Commander Jay Mitra would be the Captain of this mission.

Both the AN-32s left for Myanmar capital Yangon at 5.am. this morning, and would be refuelling at Kolkata.

The aircraft are expected to reach their destination by the afternoon.
