Overview FY2008 v/s FY2007
The Company came out with an IPO in Feb-2007 with issue price of Rs.115. The company this year has recorded an excellent set of numbers.
-- Company sales/income from operations has increased by 40 %, to Rs.13,581 lacs for the FY 2008 as against Rs.9,691 lacs in FY 2007.
-- Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased by 80% to Rs. 1,941 lacs in the current year as against Rs. 1,076 lacs last year.
-- Profit After Tax (PAT) increased up by 87 %, at Rs. 1,707 lacs as against Rs. 911 lacs last year.
-- The Company has delivered a full year Earning Per Share (EPS) with expanded equity to Rs. 15.19 per share.
Promoters of the company hold 63.82% of the equity shares and company is planning for huge expansion in its capacity in the coming years.
Astral is a pioneer in manufacturing CPVC pipes & fitting since 1999 in Indian Plumbing Market and is the first company to introduce CPVC pipes in India. In the year 2004 company introduced first Lead Free PVC piping system and now company is coming with full range of product such as Under Ground Piping System, SWR Piping System, ABS Piping System, Blaze Master (Fire Sprinkler) Piping System & CPVC Aluminum CPVC pipes. Astral has its production facilities at Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh to manufacture plumbing systems from ½ inch to 8 inch. The company has now come with its new manufacturing plant and that will be operational from the second quarter of current year.
Company's CPVC product is approved by NSF (National Sanitary Foundation- USA) and company is Licensee of LUBRIZOL -USA and forged associations with global players such as Tyco, Singapore; IPS, USA; Spears Manufacturing Company, USA; Harvel, USA; Hunter Plastics, UK.
