The Indian CIO of the Year Awards Ceremony to be Held by NASEBA at the CIO Strategies India 2008 in Mumbai

The ceremony will be held on June 9th, 2008, at 7.30 pm at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai followed by an exclusive gala dinner.

The Indian CIO of the year Awards are designed to recognize the Indian leading CIOs. Five CIOs will be competing in each category. The winners will be selected by a jury consisting of leading CIOs, academics, and CIO analysts. This year, the Awards are divided into the four following categories:

1. New Comer Award

This award will honour a young up and coming individual who has moved swiftly through the ranks to CIO. That CIO must possess strong leadership qualities and above all must be fresh and innovative.

2. Innovation Award

The awarded CIO, a pioneer and a strong leader, must be a risk taker who is prepared to innovate when everyone else would rather follow the norm. To be awarded, the nominees will have to demonstrate that their company saved or made money thanks to their innovation use of IT.

3. Leadership Award

This award will be handed to the CIO who is not only an IT Leader but also the ultimate leader in the entire company. The awarded CIO, adding value to his business, truly merges business and IT and considers the bottom-line when implementing various IT infrastructures.

4. Lifetime Achievement Award

This award will honour an individual who has had a long, illustrious career as a CIO and IT Leader. The career should speak for itself through various accolades received, successful projects implemented and respect gained by other CIOs. The awarded CIO must possess exceptional leadership skills illustrated by foresight, innovation and a pioneering attitude.
