Tripura DGPs cremation held with state honour

Cremation of Deputy General of Police (DGP) K T D Singh was performed Saturday at Battala Cremation ground with full state honour.

Agartala, May 3 : Cremation of Deputy General of Police (DGP) K T D Singh was performed Saturday at Battala Cremation ground with full state honour.

In the morning the body was kept at the DGP House in Shamulibazar for people to pay their last tribute.

At around 11 a.m. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Chief Secretary Shashi Prakash visited the DGP House and offered floral tribute to the deceased police chief.

Governor D N Sahaya also expressed his deep sorrow over the sad demise of the former DGP in a condolence letter.

Top officials of civil administration, police and central security forces also gathered in the DGP House and offered their last respect to the departed top cop.

In the afternoon the body was taken to Civil Secretariat, police headquarter.

In the police headquarter all top officials gathered to pay their respect to the passing soul.

The top cop was paid a gun salute there.

Singh passed away on Friday afternoon in the intensive care unit of Agartala Medical college after a severe cardiac arrest. by Pinaki Das
