Chennai, May 3 : Activists of the Hindu Makkal Katchi have protested against Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat's indecent attire while accompanying Hollywood action hero Jackie Chan to the music release of a Tamil film.
They threatened to sue Sherawat and the organisers for this "obscenity".
"We lodged a complaint against Sherawat for her attire at the music release function of 'Dasavathaaram' in which she came in an uncivilized manner, and in which Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi was also present," said Kannan, the group's organising secretary.
Jackie Chan released the music of the film 'Dasavathaaram' at a function in the city on April 25.
Leading Indian film personalities including superstars of Hindi and Malayalam cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Mammootty respectively, veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini, music director Himesh Reshammiya attended the function.
The film is Kamal Haasan's most ambitious project so far.
Haasan has acted in the film and written its story, screenplay and dialogues.K.S. Ravikumar has directed the movie. The film's other stars are Mallika Sherawat, Assin, Jaya Prada. Kamal Hassan plays 10 unusual characters.The current heartthrob, Himesh Reshammiya, has scored the music for the film, his first ever for a Tamil production.
The film is to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously worldwide some time in May.
