New Delhi, May 22 : Ten climbers of an expedition of the Ministry of Home Affairs reached the summit of Mount Everest today in the early hours.
The team left Camp 4 at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday and the first person scaled the peak at 0400 hours today.
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, have congratulated the team members on their success. The 10 successful mountaineers include two women and one IPS officer.
