Polling for the third and final phase of the panchayat elections has begun amidst tight security.

Kolkata, May 18 : Polling for the third and final phase of the panchayat elections has begun amidst tight security.

In this phase, polling is being held in seven districts of Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, North and South Dinajpur, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Malda.

International border with Bhutan and Bangladesh have been sealed. Precautionary measures have been taken along inter-state border with Assam, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Tight security arrangements have been made to avoid any kind of untoward incident.
