Days after the serial blasts ripped through Jaipur, security has been beefed up in Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.

Jaipur, May 17 : Days after the serial blasts ripped through Jaipur, security has been beefed up in Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.

Expecting heavy tourist inflow over the weekend, authorities have made special arrangements in Khajuraho, which is famous for its monuments and architecture.

Security personnel were seen patrolling the area near the monuments even during the daytime.

Tourists visiting the monuments are checked at the entrance twice, once at the time they enter and the second is at the exit."After the incident that took place in Jaipur, police have been alerted. We have been caring out strict security at the International center, Khajuraho where checking has been carried out at the site. Police are keeping a watch on the incoming and going of the visitors," said D Shrinivas Varma, IPS.

Tourists said, they felt safe and were amused by the kind of security arrangements made in the region.

Along with Khajuraho, many of the monuments are in the target of the terrorist following the security being tightened by the police.
