Risk Management Continues to be the Top Concern for the Banking Industry

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

The survey conducted by Banknet India, has identified Risk Management, Customer Centricity and Basel II as the top challenges faced by the banking industry. Findings of the results would be announced at the CTO-CXO Summit.

Risk Management has maintained the top position this year too; consumer centricity has made a remarkable climb this year from 6th position to 2nd position as compared to our last survey in 2007. Customer centricity and relationships lie at the very core of the business of banking. This increasing recognition of customer centric practices has led it to this position. It is closely followed by BASEL II.

Implementation of Basel II is likely to improve the risk management systems of banks as the banks aim for adequate capitalisation to meet the underlying credit risks and strengthen the overall financial system.

The Summit would discuss & debate on Risk Management, Basel II, Core Banking Implementation, Credit Management, Customer Centricity & Relationship (CCR), Cyber Security & Frauds, Know Your Customer, Anti Money Laundering, Business Intelligence, CRM, Internet & Mobile Banking Channels.
