Two women of Sonachura village here filed an FIR against DIG CRPF Alok Raj, alleging that they were molested by him late on Saturday night, an allegation the Central force officer described as false.

Nandigram, May 11 : Two women of Sonachura village here filed an FIR against DIG CRPF Alok Raj, alleging that they were molested by him late on Saturday night, an allegation the Central force officer described as false.

Officer-in-charge of Nandigram police station, Debasish Chakraborty, said the women had lodged complaints that they were beaten up and molested by Raj during a raid.

Raj on his part said, "This is a false allegation made to stop me from doing my work in Nandigram, but I am not afraid of such allegations and will continue to do my duties here. Nothing can deter him from doing my duty".

He also said he was busy at a meeting on Saturday night and did not leave the CRPF camp.

The DIG said police had not informed him about the FIR.
