Jet Airways expand its international network

The Jet Airways announced the expansion of its international network by joining hands with Brussels Airlines.

Kochi, Mar 6 : The Jet Airways announced the expansion of its international network by joining hands with Brussels Airlines.

As a result, Jet Airways' fast expanding international network will soon include code-share on Brussels Airlines operated services between Brussels and Berlin Tempelhof, Lyon and Barcelona.

Effective from March 30, Jet Airways customers traveling between Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to Berlin, Lyon and Barcelona will be able to avail of seamless code-share travel, excellent connections, through check-in, frequent flyer benefits as well as interline e-ticketing.

These flights will be available for sale from March 10.

Commenting on this, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, said, "The expansion of Jet Airways' code-share agreement with Brussels Airlines will further facilitate the rapidly growing ties between India and Europe, especially in the tourism and business sector."

"Furthermore, Jet Airways' world-class services and products will significantly enhance the entire travel experience for our customers," Wolfgang added.

Brussels is the headquarters of the European Union, and its physical location combined with the Brussels Airlines' network, make Brussels hub the natural gateway to Europe and Africa.

Brussels further distinguishes itself as one of the most convenient and passenger friendly airports in Europe.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 80 aircraft, which includes ten Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, eight Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 53 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft and nine modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.

With an average fleet age of 4.3 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world.

Jet Airways operates over 370 flights daily.
