Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is scheduled to reply to the Motion of Thanks on the Presidents address in the Parliament today.

New Delhi, Mar 5 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is scheduled to reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address in the Parliament today.

Dr. Singh will respond to the debate in the Lok Sabha at around 12:00 p.m., and later will reply in the Rajya Sabha at around 3:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, both houses concluded the debate on Motion of Thanks on the President's address.

In the Lok Sabha, Adhir Choudhary of the Congress said a series of programmes have been launched for the welfare of the people. Welcoming the loan waiver to the farming community, Adhir said it would go a long way in addressing their problems.

In the Rajya Sabha, Professor Ramdevo Bhandari of the RJD, who also hailed the loan waiver scheme for the farmers in distress, said much more needs to be done to improve the lot of the farming community in the country.
