Bangalore Airport resumes its operations

The Bangalore Airport has resumed its operations after the runway has been cleared off.

Bangalore, Mar 28 : The Bangalore Airport has resumed its operations after the runway has been cleared off.

The runway was blocked after a small aircraft of Kingfisher Airlines with 29 people on board to Hyderabad hit a dog, leading to the collapse of its nose wheel shortly before take-off.

Two passengers were injured in the accident and 23 others along with four crewmembers were safe.

A Kingfisher Airlines release quoted the commander as saying that the black dog crossed the runway when the aircraft was on a roll. The pilots could not see the animal because the runway was dimly lit.
