Mumbai, Mar 2 : Bollywood actor Aamir Khan played storyteller as he launched storybooks for children here last evening.

Khan spent some time with kids, and entertained them by telling stories.

He not only played storyteller for the kids, but also floated ideas about what should be done for the deprived children.

"There are a lot of children in the country who cannot afford to purchase books. Therefore, our efforts should be towards making these books available to those kids who cannot purchase books," said Khan.

He also emphasised on quality of books, saying that the kids should know traditional Indian literature.

"I think the books which are known for their cultural and moral content like Mahabharata and Ramayana, and other stories of indigenous origin should reach children in every language," Khan added.

After his successful directorial debut with 'Taare Zameen Par', which hovers around a child suffering from dyslexia, his association with the cause of the children has grown stronger.
