Property worth millions was damaged in a fire in a cotton warehouse in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

Koparganj (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 16 : Property worth millions was damaged in a fire in a cotton warehouse in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

No casualties have been reported.

The fire that sparked due to short-circuit and is believed to have damaged property approximately worth four million but the exact figure is yet to be ascertained.

"The fire extinguishing crew is trying to put out the fire inside the cotton warehouse. The exact damage of property has not yet been ascertained," said Jitendra Kumar, police in charge of the area.

Fire brigades and ambulance rushed to the site and the area was evacuated to prevent any casualties.
