Al Gore Releases First Ever Children's Book on Climate Change Published by TERI and JSW Foundation

New Delhi, Delhi, India

Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Mr Albert Arnold (Al) Gore, Jr, today released two books Know Climate Change and 101 Q and A on Climate Change from 'Save Planet Earth Series', a six-book series jointly published by TERI Press and the JSW Foundation, at the India Habitat Centre.

Also present during the event were Dr R K Pachauri, Director-General, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and Chairman, IPCC, along with Ms Sangita Jindal, Chairperson, JSW Foundation, who has been instrumental in the publishing of 'Save Planet Earth Series' books. Terrapin, the children's imprint of TERI Press has published these books with the support of JSW Foundation. Lucid and age-appropriate, the text of each book is reviewed by a TERI expert in the field of environment. The theme of all these books is woven around TERI's mandate of energy, environment, and sustainable development. All Terrapin books are printed on recycled paper, conforming to the ideals of sustainable publishing.

This concise and informative series, printed on recycled paper, introduces children to the critical issue of climate change and offers information on clean, green solutions to the problem. Beautiful photographs, detailed illustrative work, and natty designs make this series a visual delight for kids. Engaging text, reviewed by experts in the field of environment, and high production values make it a must-have for every child.
