Madras High Court judge transferred

President Pratibha Devisingh Patil in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, has transferred Justice S. Ashok Kumar, from the Madras High Court to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in consultation with Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.

New Delhi, Mar 12 : President Pratibha Devisingh Patil in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, has transferred Justice S. Ashok Kumar, from the Madras High Court to the Andhra Pradesh High Court in consultation with Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan.

Justice Kumar has been directed to assume charge on or before March 25.
