Retirement age of judges under consideration: Bhardwaj

The Union Government today said that a proposal is under examination to increase the retirement age of the Judges of the Supreme Court and the High Courts by three years.

New Delhi, Mar 10 : The Union Government today said that a proposal is under examination to increase the retirement age of the Judges of the Supreme Court and the High Courts by three years.

As regards increase in the retirement age of District and Subordinate Court Judges, it is the concern of the respective State Governments, said Minister of Law and Justice, H. R. Bhardwaj.

Bhardwaj gave this information in Rajya Sabha.
