A truck carrying cooking gas cylinders caught fire after ramming into a motorcycle in Uttar Pradeshs Jalaun District late last evening.

Jalaun (UP), Mar 1 : A truck carrying cooking gas cylinders caught fire after ramming into a motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun District late last evening.

The motorcycle caught fire, which then spread to the truck.

To avert casualties, the police stopped vehicles' movement in a two-km radius.

"Police evacuated people in a two kilometer-radius from the site before the blasts started," said sub-Inspector Arvind Kumar posted at the Orai police station.

Kumar added that there were no casualties due to the cylinder blasts, but the motorcycle rider was injured and had been admitted to a nearby hospital.The site of the accident is far away from the residential area, thus averting serious casualties.
