New Delhi, June 3 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Board is likely to meet here today to take stock of the situation in Bihar and Rajasthan.
The party's National Executive, which concluded on Monday, did not discuss the Bihar issue while the Gujjar stir was touched upon in the organisational report submitted by Gopinath Munde, the General Secretary in charge of Rajasthan.
Another issue that is worrying the party is the revolt by a sizeable section of party MLAs against Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi in Bihar.
While the central leadership is not in a mood to effect a leadership change in Bihar, the dissident MLAs are adamant in their demand for replacing Modi and had decided to wait till the conclusion of the National Executive before deciding on the next step.
The dissidents, who claim the support of at least 40 MLAs out of the total 55, are alleging that Modi was behaving like a "puppet" in the hands of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is from Janata Dal (United).
