Any amendment to land grant will backlash: Venkaiah Naidu

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has warned the Congress-led Jammu and Kashmir Government of a backlash across the country in case any attempt was made to amend the land granted to Sri Amarnath Shrine Board.

Bangalore, June 27 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has warned the Congress-led Jammu and Kashmir Government of a backlash across the country in case any attempt was made to amend the land granted to Sri Amarnath Shrine Board.

Talking to ANI in an interview in Bangalore today the senior BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu warned the Jammu and Kashmir government against any such move.

Violent protests have been witnessed in the Kashmir valley over the issue of granting land to the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board.

While coming down heavily on the Left parties and the Congress over the issue of the civilian Nuke deal agreement with the U.S, Venkaiah Naidu, said that the BJP was ready to accept the agreement with lot of modifications but without compromising on the national interest.

The BJP leader alleged that the Congress is striking a deal with Samajwadi party for its survival.

Meanwhile, Venkaiah informed that the BJP was preparing for the early polls.

Considering the possibility of early polls BJP is cashing on any issue including land grant to Amarnath Shrine to its advantage. By Kestur Vasuki
