Air travelers in India have to pay more as major airlines have increased their domestic air fares upto 3,000 rupees.

New Delhi, June 20 : Air travelers in India have to pay more as major airlines have increased their domestic air fares upto 3,000 rupees.

The new fares for Jet Airways, Air India and Kingfisher will come into effect from today.

The low-cost carriers have increased their base fares, ranging from 300 to 500 rupees.

The fares for journey of upto 750 kilometres are increased by 1,000 rupees, while travelling more than 750 kilometre, but less than 1,000 kilometres will cost 2,250 rupees more, sources said.

Flying beyond 1,000 kilometres is dearer by 3,000 rupees.
