Congress President Sonia Gandhi will today address a public meeting at Loni in Maharashtras Ahmednagar District.

Mumbai, June 19 : Congress President Sonia Gandhi will today address a public meeting at Loni in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar District.

During her visit, she will attend the state unit convention of the party in suburban in Goregaon.

The convention is being organised to explain to the party workers achievements of the UPA government at the Centre and the Vilasrao Deshmukh-led coalition government in the state.

Sonia is also scheduled to attend a dinner meeting at Sahaydri guesthouse hosted by the Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

UPA Chairperson visit comes in the backdrop of frequent reports of change of leadership and reports about Prabha Rau and AICC general secretary Margaret Alva backing chief ministerial aspirant Narayan Rane in his tirade against Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Sonia will leave for Delhi on June 20.
