Militants hurled a grenade at a CRPF camp located about one km from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today, injuring a jawan.

Srinagar, July 7 : Militants hurled a grenade at a CRPF camp located about one km from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today, injuring a jawan.

The grenade was hurled at the office of DIG (Operations) of the CRPF in Karim Nagar as the Assembly met for a day-long session during which state Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will seek a trust vote, CRPF spokesman P Tripathay said.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and have launched a search operation.
