Praful Patel reviews working of Air India

Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel reviewed the working of the National Aviation Company India Limited (NACIL) in Mumbai today.

Mumbai, July 5 : Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel reviewed the working of the National Aviation Company India Limited (NACIL) in Mumbai today.

Calling for fine tuning and innovativeness on various issues of the working of the merged entity, the Minister said that hard decision will need to be taken in view of the challenging times being faced by not only Air India but all Airlines, globally.

He said, "Tough stand will be required for the successful turnaround of the Airlines".

The Minister also assured Air India the full support of the Government in all its endeavours.

Secretary Civil Aviation Ashok Chawla; CMD Air India, Raghu Menon and other senior officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air India were present at the meeting.

The next review meeting is expected to be held within the next fortnight.
