New Delhi, July 20 : Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Chief Shibu Soren today pledged that his party would support the United Progressive Alliance Government with its five members during confidence motion in the Lok Sabha on July 22.
His statement came after his meeting with UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her 10, Janpath residence, along with Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto this morning.
Last night, Soren had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his official residence to discuss the matter.
The Congress had reportedly offered a Cabinet berth and a Minister of State slot at the Centre to the JMM.
Soren is expected to attend the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh this evening as a solidarity exercise ahead of the July 22 trust vote.
