Zorbing ball, a game popular in New Zealand that was introduced four years ago in Himachal Pradesh, is attracting domestic and international tourists.

Solang Valley (HP), July 19 : Zorbing ball, a game popular in New Zealand that was introduced four years ago in Himachal Pradesh, is attracting domestic and international tourists.

The game is being palyed by the tourists in Solang, a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund.

Zorbing ball is 16 ft wide and carries, a two persons inside. The ball is taken to an elevated spot on the hill and then rolled over a slope with persons inside rolling at varying speeds.

This adventure sport has now become the first choice of the tourists. I came here from South Korea to travel in this part of the world and also enjoy the Zorbing ball sport which I got here. As I had never tried it before, I found it really adventurous and exciting after doing it," said Houei, a tourist.

Claime Rahul, a tourist from United States of America, enjoyed this experience and said it was a pure bliss.

"I never thought of doing this thing here in India. I first did paragliding and then came down the hill in the Zorbing ball," said Claime.

Devi Ram, a local organiser got these amazing balls to the state around four years ago.

"We bought these balls from New Zealand and it cost more than 14,011 US dollars per ball. We have been organising this sport for the last four years. The rides starts from 2.33 US dollars for a stretch of 100 metres ride," said Devi.

Many foreign as well as Indian tourists visit this place every year to enjoy adventure sports like paragliding, white water river rafting, skiing and Zorbing ball.
