New Delhi, July 17 : Rashtriya Janta Dal MP, Pappu Yadav, who is lodged in Tihar jail, has been allowed by the Delhi High Court to participate in the July 22 trust vote here today.
Justice G. S. Gistani accepted Yadav's plea allowing him to participate in the trust vote following his advocate's contention that he had earlier been allowed by the court to cast his vote in the Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections.
Yadav has been lodged in the Tihar jail since February 2005.
He is serving a life imprisonment sentence in the Ajit Sarkar murder case pronounced on February 14, this year by a trial court.
Yadav has been convicted by the court on the charges of murdering Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA Ajit Sarkar on June 14, 1998.
