President, PM greet nation on Durga Puja
Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam met President Pratibha Patil here on Wednesday.
New Delhi, Jan 9 : Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam met President Pratibha Patil here on Wednesday.
Bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting, a release from Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
Dr. Ramgoolam, who is on a five-day visit to India, is the chief guest at the Sixth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.
The President also congratulated Dr. Ramgoolam for being conferred with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award.
The award is given by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs in honour of exceptional and meritorious contribution in a chosen field or profession by a Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
The President of India gives away the award every year.
