The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for extension of tenure of the Commission for Economically Backward Classes not covered by the existing reservation policy for a period of six months with effect from February 1 this year on the existing terms and conditions.
New Delhi, Jan 30 : The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for extension of tenure of the Commission for Economically Backward Classes not covered by the existing reservation policy for a period of six months with effect from February 1 this year on the existing terms and conditions.
The welfare measures recommended by the commission would benefit economically backward sections of the society by giving them adequate representation in services, a government release said.
