Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today got an interim bail in connection with a multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre (LCC) scam.
Ludhiana, Jan 10 : Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today got an interim bail in connection with a multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre (LCC) scam.
Apart from Amarinder, 18 other co-accuseds also got the bail.
On December 24, a court in Ludhiana had issued summons Amarinder Singh and 34 others in connection with the scam.
Amarinder and others have been charged under various sections of the under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, relates to the LCC.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (PVB) had on December 12 filed a 106-page chargesheet against Amarinder Singh, his son and son-in-law Raninder Singh and Raminder Singh respectively.
The alleged wrong-doings in the multi-crore project, being developed by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) along with its joint venture partner 'Today Homes' on a 25.5 acres of prime land.
According to the FIR, Singh had violated all norms in patronising and abetting the dilution of terms and conditions for favouring a particular party.
