Air Marshal P K Barbora becomes Western Air Commands AOC-in-Chief

Air Marshal P K Barbora today took over as Western Air Commands Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief.

New Delhi, Jan 1 : Air Marshal P K Barbora today took over as Western Air Command's Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief.

Barbora was commissioned as a fighter pilot in June 1970. He has flown over 3500 hours.

He also took part in the 1971 war with Pakistan.

He has served two tenures in the Directorate of Air Staff Inspection at Air Headquarters.

Barbora has served as air attach‚ at the Indian embassy in Moscow, assistant chief of integrated defence staff (Perspective Plans and Force Structure), and assistant chief of air staff (Inspection) at Air Headquarters (RK Puram).
