The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday implemented the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) in the state.
Jammu, Feb 2 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday implemented the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) in the state.
State Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Mula Ram told a press conference here that the Act would now be implemented in the entire State for the enhancement of livelihood security of the households of rural areas.
He said with the re-organisation of the districts in the State, nine districts have been covered under this scheme whereas 13 remaining districts would be covered from April 1 this year.
