Five killed, 33 injured in Berhampore mishap

Five people were killed and 33 injured when a vehicle in which they were returning overturned at Nabagram village in Murshidabad district late on Thursday night.

Kolkata, Feb.15 : Five people were killed and 33 injured when a vehicle in which they were returning overturned at Nabagram village in Murshidabad district late on Thursday night.

The tractor carrying the funeral party was returning from Berhampore after cremating a body.

Two of the five killed died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries at the Berhampore New General Hospital.

Of the 33 injured, the condition of ten is serious, police in Berhampore said.
