Temperature plummeted to minus 10 degrees Celsius in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir is still reeling under intense cold wave conditions with certain areas recording minus 10 degrees Celsius temperature.

Srinagar/ Chandigarh/ Shimla, Feb 12 : Jammu and Kashmir is still reeling under intense cold wave conditions with certain areas recording minus 10 degrees Celsius temperature.

At least three people have died due to cold at Jammu, Rajouri and Anantnag Districts of the State.

Pahalgam in south Kashmir and Baderwah in Jammu District recorded the minimum temperature of minus 10 degrees Celsius and minus 3.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

Himachal Pradesh is also gripped under intense cold wave conditions. The minimum temperature plummeted to 7 to 10 degree Celsius below freezing point.

Rajasthan is also battling with intense cold wave as several places recorded sub-zero temperature in the State.

Mount Abu is the coldest in the hills and Churu in the plains of the State.

Haryana and Punjab are also in the grip of chilly winds which reduce the night temperatures to two degrees to eight degrees Celsius below normal.

According to Meteorological department cold wave conditions are likely to continue for the next two days.
