The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor driven industry is hosting their global conference ISA Vision Summit 2008 on February 18 & 19, 2008. The Chief Guest is Jairam Ramesh, Minister of State for Commerce, Government of India. The key note address will be delivered by Azim H. Premji, Chairman, Wipro.
The theme of this conference is 'Evolving domestic market: Growth driver for the Indian electronics industry.' Speakers are stalwarts in both design and manufacturing as also policy makers at the state and central level. Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and economists will also share their perspectives.
According to Ms. Poornima Shenoy, President ISA, "This is our third consecutive global conference. The emerging Indian market is the key driver of the industry impacting both design and manufacturing. It is important for ISA to highlight the intrinsic worth of India and we have the support of our Ministries at both the state and central level to do so. This year's participation is from nearly 200 companies, with 300 plus delegates from over 6 nations".
