Tibetan exiles in Guwahati staged a sit-in protest against China today.
Guwahati, Apr 8 : Tibetan exiles in Guwahati staged a sit-in protest against China today.
"Whosoever is in Tibet, they are struggling for their freedom but they do not have the right to speak up in Tibet," said Yangee, a protestor.
"Our demand is to send a fact finding mission from UN to Tibet and we even want the Red Cross to be sent to Tibet," said Thuptn Treshing, another protestor.
Earlier on Monday, several Tibetans shaved their heads in New Delhi to sympathize with the sufferings of the people in Tibet.
A campaign 'Shave Your Head For Tibet' launched by the Tibetans-in-exile is scheduled to begin from April 10 onwards, but many Tibetans have already stated tonsuring their heads.
